CESEM, NOVA FCSH
Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (NOVA), one of the top public universities in Portugal, is ranked #369 in QS World University Rankings 2023. The university includes, besides the Rectorat, one School of Public Health, three Institutes and six Faculties, including the NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA FCSH).
NOVA FCSH develops cutting-edge research in different scientific areas in its 16 R&D Units, including CESEM (Centre for the Study of Sociology and Aesthetics of Music), considered 'Excellent' in the past two F.C.T. evaluations (2013 and 2017/8).
BNP
The Music Collection of the National Library of Portugal (BNP) is the richest and most varied in the country and distinguished in its national patrimonial significance. It contains more than 200,000 items ranging from the 12th to the 21st centuries, most of which were produced in Portugal. The Count of Redondo Collection, which includes music manuscripts and printed music, is one of its special collections.
