- Biography
Alexandre José de Deus Lidres was active as a singer of the Seminário Patriarcal, 1787-?1795 (Fernandes 2009, ii, p. 216). By 1807, he was working as a music copyist, active not only at the Santa Igreja Patriarcal, but also at the Basílica de S. Maria Maior (Lisbon Cathedral), the Capela da Bemposta and Mafra (Marques 2012, p. 785). A receipt with his signature, recording payment for the copying of a mass and vespers for Mafra in 1807, leaves little doubt that he is copyist Ajuda2 in Marques 2012.
